{one week old}

We can't believe our little guy is almost 2 weeks old! The time goes by so fast. This is him at one week...along with a few fun facts we don't want to forget:

• Found his hands and loves to put them in his mouth
• Frequently hiccups
• Loves to make funny faces. Our favorite is when he puckers his little lips together!
• Still a tiny little guy...even his newborn clothes are too big for him! 
• Loves to eat every 2-3 hours
• Loves being swaddled all tight
• At his first doctor appointment, he weighed in at 6 lbs, 10 oz, still tiny, although he is in the 77% percentile for his length!
• Loves being held and will just cuddle and snuggle right up to us!
• Has mastered the art of peeing right through his diaper & right when we are changing his diaper. (Still trying to outsmart him on that one...)
• Loves walks in the stroller and usually this puts him right to sleep
• Has a long tongue and loves to stick it out
• Loves afternoon naps cuddled on daddy's chest
• Melts out hearts more and more each and every day!

We're loving this 65 degree weather...& we're loving having Kyle get to hang out with us all day long! 

Too bad his paternity leave can't last forever.

We could really get used to having picnics in Central Park every day...

baby hudson got to go home on tuesday, march 27th.

kyle & i still laugh that our trusty smart car was perfect for getting us to the hospital when i was in labor, but couldn't bring home our new little one. 

so, we did the next best thing.

It's a Boy!

We are absolutely smitten & feel so lucky this little guy is ours.

Babymoon: 

1. An authentic Italian restaurant and catering company in Raleigh, NC.

No, seriously. Kyle dined there for lunch on his business trip earlier this week.

2. Recently the term has come to be used to describe a vacation taken by a couple that is expecting a baby in order to allow the couple to enjoy a final trip together before the many sleepless nights that usually accompany a newborn baby.

Yes, we are having a baby, but what? Sleepless nights? Who said anything about sleepless nights? 

In all honesty, I was not there for the exquisite feast at the location as mentioned in the first definition listed above, so I cannot really determine whether the real bonafide Babymoon Cafe is worthy of its own blog post. But in my eyes, I think the latter definition is entirely more exciting. Wouldn't you agree?

for a few days of nothing but sun, sand, and relaxation!
